Rigidisers / Coating Cements

Surface hardener and coating materials are used to increase the surface resistance of ceramic fiber blankets, modules and plates.

Tekfiber Rigidizer creates a hard layer on the surface and increases the resistance against erosion in application. It prevents abrasion on the fiber, especially on flame-hitting surfaces.

Coating Cement 180 is a coating material containing ground ceramic fiber and inorganic binder. When dried, it offers a hard and erosion resistant surface at high temperature. Even when used as a thin layer, it has good insulating properties and excellent resistance to thermal shock.

It creates resistance to the adhesion of many non-ferrous molten metals, allowing it to be used as a protective coating on many products.

Coatin Cement has excellent thermal reflectivity and dielectric strength properties and has excellent resistance to most chemicals except hydrofluoric and phosphoric acid and concentrated alkalis.

Application Area

·         As a surface coating for ceramic products exposed to high velocity gases or flame strike.

·         As an adhesive in the construction of composite and laminate products.

·         For hardening the surfaces of ceramic blankets, paper and plate products

·         On steam iron soles.

·         In the manufacture of vacuum-formed products

·         As a protective coating material on refractory materials

·         For creating a non-wettable layer in the aluminum casting industry.
